Authorization ADE won't complete new macBook Monterey

I am trying to get ADE to authorize my MacBook (Monterey). Installed ADE 4.5, clicked "authorize this computer" , then it takes forever (computer looks like KITT with that moving light...). After a very long time it claims that there was a connection problem and try again later.

I have really good internet, computer fully updated.

Tried 3.0; won't work on Monterey

Tried de-installing re-installing

Tried chatting with customer service, no answer what so ever, and got told that Adobe doesnt provide costumerservice on ADE...

Searching this community hasn't got me the answer

 

Has anyone any idea?

(My ADE is in Dutch, so if you can describe what to do, I think I can work it out from English to Dutch, or from German or French)

I went to system prefrences and check the Firewall. It was off, but i turned it on and added ADE as a safe program...

Et Voila!! Now the authorisation was a breeze and done in seconds... Maybe someone else will benifit from this (it took me a week...)
