Authorization and Activation

I'm trying to download an ebook from Freading. At first ADE said that something was not activated. I then removed authorization and tried to reauthorize ADE, but now it won't connect to the internet. What should I do?

    can you please provide the following details:

    OS (win/mac)

    OS Version

    ADE version

    Can you also please provide the exact error statement/code if possible?

    I click "Authorize"  and it says "Digital Editions could not connect to the activation server. Please make sure you are connected to the internet." However, I am connected to the internet when I click the authorization button.

    I have a new computer and I don't remember my password tried to use a new one and it won't work
