Authorization not processing

Hi -- I'm trying to authorize on a Mac. I've confirmed with an agent that my Adobe ID and PW are valid and account is active, but the window hangs on "Authorizing..." been going now for 30 minutes with no change. I desperately need to authorize to view a textbook/manual for a course I'm working on. Please help!
