Authorization problems

I recently purchased a new computer.  My tech service did a mirror image to this computer from my old computer.  I have four books from the AMA that I utilize frequently.  When I tried to utilize these books Adobe digital editions said authorization needed.  I put my  Adobe ID in as my e-mail address associated with this account.  Also put in the password associated with account and it gave me the message: The vendor account you entered is not associated with the item you're trying to open.  Try again.  I don't know what else to do at this point.  I had contacted Adobe earlier and was given the advice to do ctrl+shift +D but all that he had was give me a place to insert a note and did not do the deactivation that he said it would.  Please advise me know where to go from here.  I utilize these books all the time.
