authorize computer issues, can't find book in my library

My daughter got a Nook for Christmas.  I downloaded ADE and thought I had everything working.  Went to borrow some ebooks from the library and it is giving me this message:

"To preview this book you must first authorize this computer for Adobe DRM protected content.  Would you like to authorize this computer now?"

When I click yes and use adobe ID account, the book does not show up in my library.

I am also confused because the Reader Library does not show my Nook as being connected, but the Adobe Digital Editions that was put on my desktop does.  The books I borrowed are in neither place and I can't figure out how to transfer them to the Nook.  Please help!
