Authorize my Macbook to ADE

Good morning, I am unable to authorize my MacBook Pro. Every time I enter my ID and password and click "authorize" a pop-up appears with the message that ADE wants to use confidential information that is stored in 'digital editions' in my keychain. If I enter the same password there I am refused.

When trying to open an epub ebook selected from my local library through borrowbox & using the latest version of Adobe Digital Rights app my Kobo ereader keeps telling me i am not authorized to open this book. On my Kobo in settings it is authorized & my laptop is also authorised but still no joy. Can anyone help please?
