Authorize on second computer, first computer disabled

Hi,

My ADE was originally authorized on one computer and I used it to borrow ebooks for my Kobo reader.  That computer failed suddently and is no longer operational.  I am trying to use a second computer to borrow ebooks.

I am trying to authorize my 2nd computer with ADE using the same credentials as on the 1st computer (same email address, same ADE password).  I get the following error message (loose translation from French): "You can only grant an authorization to this computer under the condition not to use an Adobe ID already allocated to another computer or mobile device.  Please try again."

(I thought that ADE allowed to be used on 2 computers)

I understand that I should deauthorize my first computer but it is dead.  Is there a way to deauthorize the 1st computer remotely or have Adobe do it for me in their systems?
