Authorized without an ID

a couple of years back. I had tried to install Adobe Digital Editions with my first e reader and I gave up halfway through. I just purchased a new reader, and I want to authorize my PC and new reader with Digital Editions. After setting up my username and password, when I try to authorize my PC, I am getting the error "This computer is authorized without an ID." Now I can't authorize another device - such as my e reader. There are some protected titles that I want to purchase for my e reader, but without being able to authorize my reader I'm up the creek.

Does anybody know how I can get out of this mess and authorize both my devices?
