Authorizing my computer after email change

After I changed my email address, I could no longer download books onto Adobe Digital Editions on my Mac. When I click "authorize computer" the authorization still goes to my old email address despite the fact that I changed my email address in my adobe account and tried uninstalling and reinstalling ADE. I'm out of ideas!!

    I have the same problem and have chatted with support. They told me to erase authorization but It tells me it is unable to erase and to try again later.
