Blank Screen

Recently my adobe digital editions stopped working. I can open the program but then the screen is blank. It still has the options at the top- File, Edit, Reading, and Help but the rest of the screen is completely blank. When I try to open an e-book it says "Error! Check Activation." I have tried deleting the program and then re-installing but that didn't work. Anyone have any ideas?

    For this problem, you need to deauthorize and authorize ADE again.

    Launch ADE

    Help -> Erase authorization.

    ADE will be deauhorized.

    Now again AUTHORIZE ADE

    Help-> authorize computer.

    Error will be fixed !!

    I have tried that. It then gives me an error message, "Unable to erase authorization. Please try after some time." I try again and again and again and still the same thing.
