Book transported from ADE to Ereader - but Ereader does not see the books

hi there!!

I have been working on this all day..... loosing it.

I want to put books on my Kobo reader. I have Epub files on my laptop. I start ADE, then I import the books. I transfer them to my ereader. I see that the files are in the ereader when I look at the Explorer. 
Howerver I am not able to find the book on my e-reader........

I restarted my Kobo, reinstalled ADE, installed version 3.0 of ADE. Deauthorized my Adobe ID. 

Anybody who know what I can do else?

The only strange thing is that when I want to authorize my Kobo this is not an option. The text is grey. 
However it does not give an error when I say I want to transport it to the e-reader.

Can anybody help me?

    one addition.

    I read that a lot of people have issues with ADE. But they are able to find the book, but are not able to open it. I cannot find the book on my e-reader at all.....

    Have you ever tried to manually transfer the book through the file system?
