Books and library disappearing when closing the app on Macbook

Hi! I have a problem with Digital Editions. Adding books to the library and creating bookshelves works fine, but as soon as I close the application on my Macbook and open it again, everything is gone, even the bookshelves I created. It happens every time I try. Is this how it is supposed to be or is there a problem with the application or is there something I can or need to do in order to keep my books and bookshelves?

    This happend to me, too. If you open the "Documents" folder in your Finer, you'll see a folder for Digital Editions. Just rename the folder. I named it Digital Editions 2. Then close the app and reopen it. Download the books again. It should stay in the library now.
