Books downloaded to kobo e reader show old, not renewed, expiry date

Every time now I download library books from ADE to my kobo e reader they show teh old (2 day) expiry date rather than the new (26) days expiry date. I have tried de authorising and re authorising the device. Same result. This has never been a problem before
