Bookshelves disappear in new authentication

I recently installed ADE on a new computer and authorized my computer to get access to my books.

However, on the new one I only get "Bookshelves" and then if I add a bookshelf, it disappears after closedown. 

I have seen other posts explaining about a drop down menu next library, but I have no such thing, and even when I magically do get a book or two (of the many I have) added, they will disappear and so will the bookshelf I made.

On top of that it just freezes all the time. 

Does anyone have a clue?
