Bug on Adobe Editions

I’ve just downloaded Adobe Editions and followed all the instructions correctly to borrow a book from my public library, but as soon as I connect my reader through the USB, Adobe Editions shut down and every time I open it, it turns off after 1-2 seconds. I deinstalled it and reinstalled it; and it keeps on bugging, doing the same thing
