Can I only access an eBook from a single device?

I bought an eBook a couple of weeks ago and I was able to download it to the computer but when I wanted to download it also on the iPad it doesn't let me do it even though I have my Adobe account installed and also the Adobe Digital Editions .. this is the message that appears:

Has anyone had this same problem? How could you solve it?
