Can't access books in my library in the ADE iPad app

I've downloaded the ADE app for iPad and had no problem authorizing my account in the app, but still none of my books appear in the library. Do they need to be sideloaded from my computer? If that's the case what's the point in having in-app authorization?

    Yes, currently you need to side-load the book to your ipad.
