Can't access books with ADR...

'm getting the following error with an e-book I purchased over a year ago and that I use to teach..."Error has been detected.  Activation Server error - code E_ACT_NOT_READY.  Digital Editions encountered an error on the activation server.”  What's going on? I've reloaded Adobe Digital Reader but I still get the same message.

    Please use ADE 4.0

    If you remember authorization credentials, then you can do the following:

    Erase authorization by:

    Go to: Help -> Erase authorization,

    and follow the dialog boxes

    Once authorization is erased, now you can activate ADE again with same id:

    Help-> Authorize computer.

    Once authorized, you should be able to open your ebooks.

    Hope this works.

    I did what you suggested.  Now it says I need a "Vendor id" to open the book.

    You have to use authorization details that you used during the download of the book.

    Other credentials will not work as they are not mapped with your ebook.
