Can't authorize computer even though Adobe ID and password are CORRECT! Help Please!!

Hi, I've been using ADE for many years to get library books onto my Kobo. Recently installed Win 11 and re-downloaded ADE (latest version). When I try to "Authorize Computer" with my Adobe ID it fails with the message "Incorrect login ID or password for the selected ebook vendor". I've selected "Adobe ID" as the ebook vendor as my library provider is not listed in the drop-down. I'm 100% certain that my Adobe ID and password are correct as I use Adobe photography software so I use my Adobe ID all the time.

I had same issue yesterday & I was sure I had the correct password.  Utter powerlessness.
I went to Adobe online and set up a new password.   It then worked.
