Can't copy library boks to Nook

For at least a couple of years I have downloaded library books to my pc & then copied them to my Nook. a few days I had a computer problem, which has now been solved. However, now I cannot copy to my Nook reader. I get this on my screen:

My pc is authorized in Adobe Digital Editions, but on the Nook button, "Authorize"  "Erase Authorization", & Authorization Information" are all grayed out & unavailable. My husband can still copy to the nook from his computer, but he has an older version of Digital Editions. I don't seem to be able to get the older version. Adobe apparently doesn't support this except through the forum. I've seen several postings about it, but no solutions. Does anyone know if there is another program that will open epub books & work on a Nook?

    I was able to unistall Adobe Digital Editions & then download & install an earlier version. works perfectly now.

    I found out how I could install an earlier version. That works fine.

    Seems a problem with the authorize after the Problem of your Device. Try this:

    Windows:

        Close all applications.

        Choose Start > Run.

        In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.

        In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept

        Select the Adept key.

        Choose File > Export.

        In the Export Registry File dialog box, select Selected Branch under Export Range. Enter a name and location for the backup registry key, and then click Save.

        Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.

        In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.

        Close the Registry Editor.

        Open Adobe Digital Editions and reauthorize.

    Macintosh:

        quit Adobe Digital Editions.

        Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash.

        Open Adobe Digital Editions and reauthorize.
