Question

Can't De-Authorize my account

I am trying to open an acsm ebook from my public library online. It was working before, but now ADE gives me an
"Error! Check Activation" message.

So I check my activation and everything is in place. I Go to "Deauthorize my computer." I put in the username and password (tested on the Adobe site), press the "Continue" button, Then I am given the option to "Erase Authorization." When I do that, it just comes back to the the login screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, no change.

Ideas?

    I just found this solution.

    _____________________

    Windows:

    Choose Start > Run.

In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.

In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept

Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.

In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.

    Your authorization will be deleted.

    ADE will be deauthorized now.

    Now Authorize ADE again
