Question

can't deauthorize adobe digital editions

I have a macbook pro and when I try to open an acsm file I get an error message.  I read online to deauthorize and reauthorize ADE, however, I keep receiving a message that I cannot deauthorize and to try later.  Does anyone know how I can deauthorize it?  If not, how do I complete remove ADE from my mac so that if/when I reinstall it, it asks me to authorize, instead of pulling up my authorization info.

I have the same problem with my PC. I tried to delete the adept key (as suggested in the support files) but it won't let me.

I have exactly the same issue.  Mac laptop.  Have changed password to make sure there's no issue.  I get a screen that says, "Cannot deauthorize, please try again later."   ADE is totally inaccessible.  Advice, please!
