Can't download books from my public library after C: drive upgrade

I have migrated my C: drive content to my new SSD.  Adobe Digital Edition does not allow me to download books from my public library; it complains about the registration.

Can't delete the registration from the application nor from my Adobe account.

Did remove and re-install the app, without success:  same behavior.

Don't want to do surgery on my register but it seems the next step.

Anybody having a suggestion on how to repair this situation?
