can't download books, my adobe page is blank suddenly, all my books are erased

I was having problems downloading certain books for a while,but one day, all the books I had already were erased from the page which is now blank and I can't download any more books. Why didn't I receive a notice of some kind before or after this happened? What can I do now to get my books and program back?
