Can't Download Digital Editions

Question

I am unable to download Adobe Digital editions on my brother's Mac laptop. When we double click the installation package it gives a message stating "verifying adobe digital editions installation packages" and gets stuck there and won't move forward. Has anyone experienced this and know of a solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated. We have made sure his Mac meets all of the requirements and we have tried all of the troubleshooting tips found on the Adobe webpage.

Its a problem with the security Setting of the Mac. Check the settings and help of the macintosh how you can install thirdparty programs. Then you know how can you install it.
