Can't Download ebook

I had Digital Editions of this HP laptop. I have another similar HP laptop that I downloaded DE on and can read my ebooks with DE.

The first laptop will no longer recognize the ebooks so I deleted them and tried to re-download but now I get a authorization error.

DE says my computer is authorized so how do I get my books back?

Please help!

    Found the answer here

    Follow this to the T and it will work.

    Windows:

    Choose Start > Run.

    In the Open text box, type regedit and then press Enter. The Registry Editor opens.

    In the left pane of the Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adept

    Right-click the Adept key and choose Delete.

    In the Confirm Key Delete dialog, click OK.

    Your authorization will be deleted.

    ADE will be deauthorized now.

    Now Authorize ADE again.
