Can't download ebook - error message

I was reading an ebook using Adobe Digital Editions 4.5.11. When I was returning the borrowed book, suddenly it started giving error as : Unable to download. Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_IO_CANNOT_OPEN.

I tried uninstalling the ADE app and again reinstalling it.

Would someone please guide me on how to solve this problem.
