Can't find my EPUB library downloads

Using windows 8 and ADE 4.03 I now find that downloading a borrowed book from the library shows up in Overdrive but when I look for it in Adobe Digital Editions it's not there and so can't transfer to my KOBO e-reader.  Does anyone have an answer on where the downloads have gone and how to find them?  I have tried searching for the downloaded book but to no avail.  I can go offline and read the book using the PC and Overdrive but that doesn't help me getting it on to my e-reader.
