Question

Can't get to ebooks I've downloaded

I've never gotten a setup wizard. I can't find a menu for one. The only menu I can find is a drop down menu where I can add an item to the library or authorize the computer, which my computer seemed to be automatically authorized to my email address when I installed the program. But when I try to add one of the epub or pdf books that I've borrowed for the library or purchased to the Adobe Digital Editions library, none of them show up since they are Adobe Content Server Message files I guess? rather than .epub or .pdf which it wants them to be to add them to the library. Help anybody? I have the books saved in My Documents, but I can't use them.

Thanks.

It's 2016, is anybody out there????   I need help!  Where are all of the Adobe techs "they" assured me I'd get my issue solved?

I can not find the ebook I purchased yesterday in my Adobe Digital account.  I've waited over 24 hours trying to navigate this unfriendly system!  I chatted with a representative who was totally unable to help me.  Now I can not seem to contact anyone on the link the other rep insisted that I use.

Your computer was already authorized to you (Perhaps you were using the Sony EBL software previously), so you are good to go.

The .acsm files are like claim check tickets which enable you to get the actual .pdf of .epub file (in a way that they are licensed to you).  To do this you need to open the files up in ADE.  If the files are correctly associated with ADE simply double clicking the files will do what you want.

Thank you. I opened them in My Documents and it brought them into the Adobe Library and opened them. Wonderful!
