Can't open an ebook

I have just installed Digital Editions on my la[top for the first time.
I have downloaded an ebook from a library and when I open the ebook in ADE I get a message 'E_LIC_ALREADY_FULLFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER'

so i cant open the book. Please advise
