Can't open my books on new computer

I see other posts about this, but I can't find the answer yet. I had about 200 books in ADE on my old computer, and now that I got a new computer it asks for an "ID and password" but I've tried every old ID and password that I can find and nothing works. So then I called Adobe on the phone, and they said basically, "It's not OUR problem." I bought these books (though not from Adobe) and they cost me a lot of money. Just exactly what "ID and password" are they looking for? I tried the ones I used to log into the old computer, and I tried the ones for Google too. Nothing's worked yet.
