Can't use highlight or add note function

hi there, i'm using Adobe digital edition 4.5 to read ebook. but can't use highlight or add notes function at all...

For what it's worth I contacted Adobe Chat Support, and was told they no longer support the product.

I can't use arrow to scroll lines......what's happening?

no shortcut keys are working.....

I'm having the same issue regarding highlights and copying. What's weird is that sometimes in works, and sometimes it doesn't; all in the same book
