Cannot access ebooks from PC

Adobe,

I have Adobe Digital Editions installed.  However I cannot acces my e-books.

I have tried installing and reinstalling ADE.  i have also tried activating and de-activating my account.

Please can you advise:

1. Could this be a firewall issue (as my company is heavy on firewalls)

2. Can you look to give me back one activation to my account where i've tried the 'activate' 'deactivate' solution.
