Cannot authorize my Sony Reader with my Adobe ID

The following error message keeps popping up:

Unable to authorize the device.
Please contact Sony customer support.

Error: E_AUTH_USER_ALREADY_REGISTERED.

I've already contacted Sony support and Kobo support, and they directed me to Adobe support. The reader is of model PRS-T2.

How do I solve this?

    You may find help in the Digital Editions forum, Adobe Digital Editions. This is the Adobe Reader forum, and I fail to see how your problem is related with Reader.
