Cannot Erase Activation

I have Digital Editions on my work laptop. Two days ago my IT Help Desk responded to my request to change my last name since I was recently married. After IT made the changes I was unable to access my library on Digital Editions. Since then I have chatted with Adobe Support and was told to use the forum. My IT rep has also come back and tried to help me.

I have updated my email address and name in my Adobe ID however I cannot erase the old authorization from Digital Editions to enter the new one. Please some one help!! I need access to a text book on there ASAP!!
