cannot get epub file to open since I downloaded ADE 4.0

since I updated ADE on my computer to the 4.0 version,  I am unable to get ADE to open an epub file.  I keep getting an activation error message.   I checked and it says the computer is authorized.   Pleasse help....I have no idea how to fix this and cannot find a way to contact anyone at Adobe.
