Cannot Install ADE 4.5.11 on Mac OS

I have Mac OS 10.13.6, I am able to download ADE (as a .dmg file) and the installer launches but once it finishes, nothing happens. I tried it several times and even tried downloading ADE 4.0 instead. I've searched through my applications and cannot find a trace of ADE anywhere except the .dmg files.
