Cannot install ADE

I've just bought a ebook online and cannot access it without ADE. I've downloaded both 4.0 and 4.5, and neither will install. The exe files download, and when I open them to click run it asks for an administration password or the option to choose the current user of the pc. Which I select, as there is only one admin for my pc. And every time I receive an error report saying "the installer requires administrative access" - what else can I try? I'm now unable to return my ebook, so, what are the options?

    Hi,

    Please try navigating to the folder where the ADE installer was downloaded and then right-click the installer and select "Run as Administrator" to check if it installs.

    Sharad, Thank you, this was the right thing to do. I did have the same problem just now with the digital edition installation as lisaburnell. And the "run as administrator"worked.

    What I do not understand is why it did not work the "normal"way. With Acrobat I did never have a problem.

    If you used the data of your Admin and it not work should contact teh support of Micirosft for repair your admin rights.
