cannot install the stupid digital editions

I've tried installing 3.0, 4.0, 4.5 version of DE on my Mac Sonoma 14 and I get an error message each time. 

 

I had an old version of DE before and I kept getting messages "re-authorise your Kobo". It didn't work. So I found on Kobo's website to de-authorise my laptop https://help.kobo.com/hc/en-us#.

 

When I tried to do it DE said that there was no such ID/email (although it clearly showed it) and I couldn't either upload the book or de-authorise the laptop. I uninstalled DE och downloaded a new version and the hell broke loose...

 

I don't have any DE and cannot install it. I keep receiving this crap info:

 

What to do???

I've spent 15min on their chat there I was told to go away as DE is for free, being redirected to a website that didn't work and I was told to restart the laptop... as if it was my fault that they sent a wrong link... Jesus...

 

I am so frustrated now, I can't read my books! Could anyone help?

    What's more, because DE is for free I'm supposed to use a forum, there people have similar problems, so those people can tell me why DE cannot be installed... This is what monopolisation looks like... - not giving a dog's 💩.

    I didn't want to write "poo" in "dog's..." so I used an emoji that was made to text "pile_of_poo" hahaha

     

    And for that reply I wrote I got a "first reply" badge... hahaha 

     

    There's sth wrong with this world 😂. They treat us like idiots...
