Cannot turn page in ADE

I have installed ADE 4.5.11 on my new notebook and transferred my ebooks. When I open ADE I can only see the cover of the ebooks and cannot read. When I try to turn the page nothing happens. Only when I close and open again ADE the page is turned to the next. What happens? Please help

      same here. the only way to turn the pages is to resize my window for every page that I need to turn. but it simply does not make any sense.
