Cant download books with my valid adobe id

So, I have an adobe id account with my school and my school library provides online downloadable books that i can download with my adobe login. I download the app both on my mac and ipad, then i log in to authorize my account with the intention i can download books from any of my device, and access them on all, since i am using the same account. However, ade needs to way overcomplicate everything in this world, and when i try to download or open a book I downloaded with my already logged in authorized full access account, ade wont open it and says: "Unable to download, Error getting Licence Server Communication Problem, E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER" who is me. I downloaded the book with the same credentials, yet this rubbish program still wont open it. Also, i tried to download on my macbook, it downloads, but i cant transfer/move it onto my ipad either. I wish i could use another app but this is what i need to read the books from my school :'(

Also, ADOBE, WHAT IS THIS? SORT YOUR SIMPLE READING APP OUT HONESTLY THIS SHOULDNT EVEN EXIST IF I NEED TO SPEND MORE TIME ADDING MY BOOK ONTO MY ACCOUNT THAN READING THE ACTUAL BOOK!!!!
