cant get books on my ipad

I have downloaded the book to my PC and I can see is on the iPad to download but when I try to down load it I get an error Digital editions could not connect to the fulfilment server. please make sure you are connected to the internet. I'm defiantly connected to the internet.

I tried to connect the device to the PC but it doesn't register on the app there so I don't know how to read this book on my iPad.

    the answer to the problem is that there is no answer - and to your suggestion, the answer is getting rid of adobe digital editions and download the FREE bluefire app. A big THANK YOU to rwtrrdmn570513(14-Jan-2017 12:08)

      be warned of the bluefire app though.  I have the bluefire app and now all of a sudden my epub books won't open in Bluefire.   I'll have to try manually moving them to the app when I connect to Itunes.

      thanks for the intel. the other option i have with ipad air is overdrive... any thought on that one?
