connecting ADE to samsung galaxy

When I try to connect my Samsung Galaxy to ADE nothing happens, no icon turns up.I have tried all the sugestions in "Help"

What version of Android are you running? I have only ever seen ADE connect to devices running Android 3.0 or lower. You also do not need to directly connect the device to ADE, you should be able to move/copy files from ADE directly to the device.

Also, what application are you using to try to read your books on the Galaxy? This will affect where you need to put the files.
