Connection Error Detected

I have been having difficulties (after 2 years successful) use with 'the oops - this document couldn't be

opened message' and not able to resolve. Therefore I downloaded ADE 3.0 to my desktop

PC (opposed to my laptop that housed the version experiencing difficulties). ADE 3.0 is loaded,

computer and device authorized. When I download a book from the library, the book is

downloaded, ADE automatically opens and I receive the message

"connection error detected - ADE could not connect to the fulfillment server - please make

surw you are connected to the internet" which obviously I am.

Solution - assistance? Thanks
