convert Word doc to pdf with high quality images

Greetings,

I'm using pdf format for my applications' help docs and these contain high quality images. I have played with the Distiller settings and gotten nice results but I would take any suggestions so to improve my results and get the best possible quality. pdf file sizes is not an issue, the help files are deployed on the local workstations (not my choice, I would server them). I'm currently using MSWord 2003 SP3 and I have MSWord 2007, I just have not taken time or risk on converting all my help docs to the new version of Word. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

There is no real "cure" for this problem, but this blog covers this topic (across both Word and Acrobat) quite well: http://wordtopdfimage.blogspot.ca/

    Hope this helps

That may be a great answer, but keep in mind that this forum deals with

Adobe Digital Editions, and it's not even mentioned in the thread.

cool, i've never used this before. i've always used the professional version of adobe acrobat. and it automatically added its own functionality in microsoft word.

Set image compression method to "ZIP" or "No Compression"

The zip compression did not change your source picture quality but the pdf may be slower on loading and displaying.
