Converting File formats from ADE to Word

I have been reading some of the older posts by community members but to no avail, I do not see an answer to my specific question.

* I am converting all of my eBooks from Kindle and Google to ADE. I use these books as references to my wring and my Class Curriculum. My issue is trying to get ADE to convert to either a PDF ( a much lesser format than Epub) or directly to Word. I legally give credit to all authors for their work, and there is no piracy here.

* Is there a legal way to convert my ebooks to a copy-paste version So I can reference them in my writings?
