Copy .epub to Adobe Digital Editions

Recently acquired Adobe Digital Editions, which required that I get an Adobe ID.

When I try "open filename.epub, it does not open the file. When I seach the tab under

file, I also cannot find a "copy" or "open"

The Adobe ID is the E-Mail-Adresse of the Account of Adobe. Has try to authorize his Digital Edition? (Help > Computer authorize)?
