copying file to device

I can open a file and read it on Adobe Digital Editions.  However, when I try to copy it to my device I get:

(book name) E_IO_CANNOT_OPEN - Failed to write destination file

I have updated to the latest Adobe Digital Edition. 

I have removed the file from my Adobe Digital Edition and re-downloaded it.

This is clearly a Digital Edition issue as I can see and read the file on my computer using Adobe Digital Edition, it just won't transfer to my Nook.

Anyone else get this?
