Crash of Digital Editions 4.5.2

Previous version worked flawlessly on my MacBook Pro, after installation of 4.5.2 the program crashes immediately after start, every time IO try.  The problem report contains these lines:

Exception Type:        EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)

Exception Codes:       KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x0000000000000020

Exception Note:        EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY

Anyone any idea what to do?
