Crashes on my iPad

I download from NetGalley to review ePub books for publishers. Since the last update the app crashes as soon as I select a book to open. Digital Editions is the best app to use but deleting, reloading and restarting my iPad didn't work. I contacted Apple support and they say it's an Adobe problem. I've installed and used it successfully on both my Android phone and Windows 10. Unfortunately these are not the devices I use to read. Please help. I really, really need this app.

edited to add: I can open the books in the Adobe library and the ADE manual with no problem. The books I get from NetGalley probably have tighter security on them. As I said, ADE worked fine until the last update.
